This is not achieved purely by sufficient strength of the abdominals but how the core musculature functions as a whole in a coordinated effort with intra-abdominal pressure. Developmental Kinesiology provides a framework for regional interdependence and global integration approach, which we integrate with the Selective Functional Movement Assessment to provide a comprehensive picture of our patient’s strength, mobility and stability motor control deficits.
